I've been remiss in commenting on things Republican to keep we Gilfordites up to speed (what with Budget Committee meetings, biz travel, and other such meetings).  Anyways, for those that missed the latest meeting this past Wednesday, here's my meager meanderings:

  • Treasurer's report: $9,769.53 and money spent to secure the Mount Washington for the "Lincoln Day" cruise / fund raiser.
  • Emphasis is being requested for Letters to the Editor for AFTER the primary.  My thoughts were at this were "so what the heck are they planning on doing on assisting the Republican Prez campaigns - look at what the Ds are doing??"  It was mentioned that legislative talking points (past out at the National Committeewoman election) are available if so led.
  • The meeting was poorly attended - other than Kelly from McCain and Dr. Hugh Cort and his assistant, there were only 15 present.
  • Kelly from the McCain campaign sort of did a good-bye at the meeting.  I'll be sorry to see her go as she was always kind and hospitable to both Doug and I when we were attending any of the events.
  • I offered to help with email blasts.
  • I had given a proposal to Frank Tilton on hosting a new website for the Belknap County Republican Committee; Frank had me give a brief talk about what it entailed.

We also had a guest speaker, Dr. Hugh Cort III spoke about his candidancy for the  Presidency of the  United States.  I had brought my webcam with me  just to try out - the video of his  speech can be watched by clicking here (66MB, approx 26 minutes)
